Pääkaupungin turvakoti operates at the heart of violence work through shelters (3) and the Domestic Violence Work Unit. We help elderly victims/perpetrators of domestic violence together with Suvanto Association (Senior’s Secret – Free from Violence), develop new methods to prevent dating violence and end the use of violence with ETKL (Supporters of Nonviolence) and develop a family intervention model for families experiencing domestic violence related to child custody, housing and visitation disputes and offer them support (Violence Work in Prolonged Separations).
