The National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL) is implementing a development cooperation project in collaboration with the Development Cooperation Committee of the Student Union of the University of Helsinki (HYY) to support higher education for students with disabilities in Ethiopia. Come and meet the members of the SYL and HYY Development Cooperation Committees and hear more about the project! The SYL Development Cooperation Advisory Board is a group of volunteers representing different student unions. It is responsible for managing SYL’s development cooperation projects together with the board and the development policy adviser, and participates in advocacy work and fundraising.
HYY’s Development Cooperation Committee is a body under the student union that maintains discussion on global justice and development cooperation within the student union, organizes various events related to development and development cooperation, supports projects, and publishes the Kimppu magazine, which deals with development issues. The development cooperation project is funded with support from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
