What does a free Palestine mean, and what does freedom mean for Palestinians in the wake of colonialism, apartheid, illegal occupation, and genocide? Why does the realisation of the indigenous people’s freedom and rights require decolonisation that is, the dismantling of colonial rule?
Lina Jarallah, Vice Chair of the Finnish Palestine Network, and a representative from Nahlieli – Jews for Justice in Palestine, discuss the significance of decolonisation and freedom, as well as why Finns and those who benefit from Israeli colonialism should advocate for Palestinian freedom. The discussion will be moderated by Sumud coordinator Lili De Paola.
The programme is in English. You can watch the programme at the festival’s Speaker’s Stage at Bio Rex or via livestream on the festival’s website.
