Using paper, string, and simple instructions, we’ll make our own kites! They’ll become symbols of creative freedom and diversity – we’re all different, but the sky is vast and there’s room for all our kites to fly together.
Come craft your own kite with your child using string, paper, and simple instructions! The workshop is recommended for children ages 4 and up, accompanied by an adult. Older children can also participate independently.
Show off your kite on Instagram! Share photos or videos with the hashtags #tillsammansflygervihögre and #luckandrake. During Children’s Culture Week, May 18–24, 2026, @lillaluckan_helsingfors will highlight your posts!
The workshop will be led in Swedish by Amanda Samelin, but the instructional video on YouTube is silent and therefore easy to follow.
The event will take place in the Kids’ Corner at LillaLuckan, located on the second floor of Luckan at Yrjönkatu 27.
