Disability Partnership Finland

M511

Disability Partnership Finland coordinates the development cooperation of Finnish organizations of persons with disabilities. The purpose and main goal of our work is to improve the lives of persons with disabilities in the Global South. At the stand you can get familiar with the projects of Disability Partnership Program.

Our work in the Global South aims at strengthening the ability of our local partner organizations to improve the status of people with disabilities and to reduce poverty.

Our development cooperation projects focus mainly on strengthening and improving the operations and functions of our local partner organizations. We encourage and train our partners in advocacy work so that the human rights of people with disabilities are realized as widely as possible in society.

Our long-term partnerships with local disability organizations are based on mutual trust. We respect the independence of our partners, and we give space and time for peer support and learning in the projects.

Development cooperation projects are implemented by our member organizations, i.e. Finnish organizations of persons with disabilities.
