SEIFFI service is a safe way to recycle memory-containing devices such as mobile phones and tablets. The data-safe recycling service is a collaboration between Kuusakoski, a specialist in material recycling, and Inrego, a specialist in reuse. The device memory is cleared in Finland and the device can be tracked from the Posti’s Parcel point to the point of destruction. If the device is no longer suitable for reuse, the raw materials it contains are recycled for industrial use.

SEIFFI is a service provided by SER Recycling, Kuusakoski, Inrego and Posti, which allows you to recycle your data devices responsibly and securely. Through SEIFFI, you can recycle your devices easily and securely. For devices that are sent for material recycling, the recycling is handled by Kuusakoski Oy. Recycling of equipment for reuse is handled by Inrego Oy.

Why SEIFFI?
80% of the environmental impact of IT equipment throughout its lifecycle occurs during production. A laptop computer uses thousands of litres of water and generates up to 1200 kg of waste. Sourcing raw materials from around the world is also problematic; for example, a smartphone contains more than 80 raw materials, including precious metals. By maximising the lifetime of existing IT equipment, we can significantly reduce the carbon footprint of IT equipment.

Both businesses and consumers can return devices
Recycling data equipment at SEIFFI is easy, responsible and secure for both businesses and consumers. The service has been made as easy to use as possible. Customers order a Helposti code from the SEIFFI.fi website by paying a fee for the processing and data recovery of their devices. He packs the equipment, for example in an old cardboard box, and takes the package to a post office or a post office. The device arrives at a Kuusakoski or Inrego processing facility, where the data is cleared. The equipment that arrives for recycling continues its journey to Kuusakoski’s processing plant in Heinola. The equipment leaving for recycling is tested and refurbished. The customer will receive a report on the data destruction by e-mail.

Business customers will be reimbursed for functioning equipment. For private customers, the value of the equipment will be donated to charity if the customer so chooses.
