Hassan Maikal is a rap/R&B artist based in Kontula, Helsinki, who received no less than four nominations for the Emma Awards for his debut album, Betonitarha (Sony, 2021). Currently working on his second album, Maikal released his latest single, ‘Isäongelmii’, in December 2023.

His second album will be more influenced by African, especially Somali, music. When performing live, Maikal wows the crowd with his stunning vocal voice and strong presence.

Maikal says he wants to contribute especially towards preventing social exclusion among young people.
