Book World

Book World stage will feature a non-stop programme. The topics range from wars and genocides to conflict resolution, world peace and post-colonialism: interviews with authors, literary debates, cosmopolitan tirades and talks by peace researchers. A new programme starts every half hour.  

The programme includes fresh non-fiction on nuclear war, the brutal war in Gaza, herero genocide and disarmament among others. A special guest, the Secretary General of the Hibakusha (nuclear bomb survivors’ organisation) from Hiroshima, which has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, is visiting as well.  

The World of Books is located at the Rosebud space in Cirko’s Maneesi, near the entrance to the festival area on the Kalasatama side. A more detailed schedule will be published in May.
