Volunteer registration for World Village Festival is now open. The festival is also looking for all kinds of amateur groups to perform. The sign-up for exhibitors is still open, and it’s still possible to book advertising space in the festival magazine.
Experience this spring’s most colourful event as part of the festival team. Volunteers will participate in making the festival happen in roles such as programme production, customer service, artist and staff café, keeping the festival site pleasant, as well as in decorating, setting up and taking down the festival. As a volunteer you will gain practical experience in event production, get to know like-minded people, and be a part of creating a joyous festival atmosphere!
Registration for volunteers for the spring 2024 festival ends on 8 May. The earlier you apply, the better we can try to take account of your wishes about the volunteer role. Those applying by the end of March will enter a prize draw for 10 festival totes made from old World Village Festival banners. By joining the festival volunteer team, you can make a tangible contribution towards a better world. Come and join in, we need you!
Festival looking for performers for Street Art Area
Do you love to perform? Is your dance group passionate about being seen by new audiences, or is your band’s latest song ready to go live? The festival is looking for street artists and amateur groups to perform in the Street Art Area. The stage is open for everyone, regardless of your style of art. To appear in the World Village Festival Street Art Area, apply by 14 April.
Sign up for exhibitors still open for two weeks
Registration for exhibitors and vendor and bazaar spaces closes on 29 February, there’s still a chance to sign up! Book advertising space in the festival magazine and festival ad screens until 27 March. The 2024 World Village Festival magazine will be published with Helsingin Sanomat on Saturday 18 May 2024, with the number of copies distributed totalling 95, 000. On-screen visibility at the festival area will provide you with a reach of tens of thousands of festival goers.

World Village Festival is Finland’s leading event for global action for the whole family, an admission free cultural festival, and a trade fair for sustainable development. The event will be organised in the Suvilahti event venue, Helsinki, in 25–26 May 2024 with Courage as the theme. Festival’s core values are diversity, equality, responsibility, and communality.
