House of Helsinki

OF702

House of Helsinki (HOH) is a politically independent and non-profit organisation that has been operating since 2019. We believe that two-way integration is the key to a stronger and fairer society and therefore, our goal is to promote social sustainability in Finland. Among other things, we develop policies that support the status, well-being and inclusion of minorities. We see that people from different backgrounds are not just beneficiaries, but active contributors to society.

Our REFUFIN project provides counselling and support services to people living in Finland who have fled Ukraine because of the war. Our trained volunteers—many of whom have firsthand experience of relocating to a new country—help newcomers navigate their new environment by sharing valuable practical knowledge. At the same time, we listen to and learn from their experiences, bringing these insights into broader societal discussions.

By working together, we aim to create an environment where everyone can find their place and actively participate in shaping the society we share.
