Turvapaikanhakijoiden Tuki ry (Tutu) is an association that started in 2015 as a network of volunteers, aiming to provide diverse support to asylum seekers who have come to Finland and promote the realization of their rights. Currently, Tutu’s own staff provide professional residence permit counseling, support, and service guidance. Tutu strives for a more just society by influencing the handling of asylum seekers’ issues. Tutu’s activities include, among other things:
Advocacy work, such as statements,
residence permit counseling and service guidance,
activities aimed at supporting mental health, activities and events for young asylum seekers who have come to Finland, volunteer work, such as promoting integration and participation, cultural activities, such as the Refugee Film Festival
