YMCA Peace and Sport Zone – things to do and experience for all festival-goers, especially young people! YMCA Finland, Helsinki YMCA Yökoris / Midnight Basketball and the YMCA Peacemakers youth will again build a whole activity area for the World Village Festival. You will find street basketball with a DJ, games for sustainable development, hanging out in the lounge, peace and love, and the coolest photo booth of the festival!

We run the Ministry of Foreign Affairs-funded Youth, Peace and Livelihoods Development Cooperation Programme with YMCA partners in Ethiopia, The Gambia, Kenya, Lebanon, Palestine and Ukraine, and support regional cooperation of the Africa Alliance of YMCAs. As part of the Development Cooperation Programme, our local associations in Finland develop and implement Global Citizenship Education in youth work.
