SARĀB 

Combining modern jazz, rock and Middle Eastern traditional music in an elegant package, SARĀB  has become one of the most popular bands of the jazz scene in Paris. 

SARĀB has described the main mission of its music to be the preservation of the rich and versatile heritage of Tunisian music. The band was born from a meeting between French-Syrian singer Climène Zarkan and guitarist Baptiste Ferrandis, but has grown into a group of four young and passionate musicians over time.  

Playing with genres and boundaries, SARĀB does not want to be categorized, and has made combining different, even surprising musical styles its trademark. The band’s sound is a combination of the influences and visions of each of its four members.  

The band has been actively working together since 2015, and has released two albums, Shema in 2015 and Ridi in 2020. The band has played numerous shows across Europe, and they have also been seen in Finland previously at Oulu Music Festival in 2022. They also put on a great show at Womex 2024 in Manchester, England.
