Savoy Theatre & Espa Stage

M506

The Savoy Theatre is a guest stage for international performers in the centre of Helsinki. The historic Espa Stage is a summer stage located in Esplanade Park.

Savoy Theatre has over the years become an inseparable and vibrant element adding to Helsinki’s rich cultural scene. Savoy Theatre is particularly known as a leading concert venue for world music. We stage shows by more than 200 groups and performers from all over the world.

The programme includes both Savoy Theatre’s own productions, productions created in association with other event organisers and events produced by agencies, festivals and private organisers.

Savoy Theatre is located in the very heart of Helsinki, next to Esplanadi park and the major shopping and commercial streets. Our staff also manages the bookings and events on Espa Stage outdoor venue.

The historic Espa Stage is a summer stage located in Esplanade Park in the heart of Helsinki.

The free concerts on the summer stage attract both local residents and tourists. Young professional musicians and veteran artists from Finland and abroad are seen in dozens of concerts on the stage.

Summers have traditionally been punctuated by Jazz Espa, which has been called the longest jazz festival in Finland and Etno-Espa, a folk music festival. The Espa Stage also buzzes during Night of the Arts, Helsinki Day and during other major events.

The performances continue from May to August. Concerts are arranged mainly from Wednesdays to Fridays. Arrive in good time to get the best seats. During the performances, you can enjoy refreshments on the terrace of Restaurant Kappeli opposite.

The Savoy Theatre and Espa Stage are part of the City of Helsinki Culture and Leisure Division’s general cultural services.
