Majur (BR)
Brazilian singer-songwriter Majur is a powerful voice for LGBTQIAP+ rights. The artist’s music combines R&B with blues, and her career got off to a spectacular start when she was nominated for the coveted Latin Grammy Award in 2021. In her personal life, Majur has also paved the way by being the first black trans woman in history to appear on the cover of Vogue Bride magazine.
Majur describes her goal as creating a sense of community and safety through her music. The artist knows how to get the party going and take over the stage with her captivating charisma.
Majur’s debut album “Ojunife” (2021) beautifully explores the power of community and the artist’s own journey of self-discovery. The album’s lyrics include not only personal issues but also human rights topics, which are close to the heart of Majuri, herself a member of a minority group.
Majur has been actively touring around her homeland of Brazil, but will also be taking over Europe this year, performing in Finland, Denmark, Germany among other countries.
