Pinskut – Experiences, Joy, Together!

K401

Enjoyable activities for children and youth! Would you like face painting or badges? We also have fishing at our spot, and you might catch a glimpse of the Pinsku characters.

The Finnish Democracy Pioneers’ Association, known as Pinskut, was founded in 1945 as an organization for children, youth, and families. Individuals involved in the activities are called ‘pinskus’ or pioneers. The organization’s activities include camps, clubs, events, international cooperation, and training.

The framework and principles of the organization are defined by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child together with the pinsku values defined by the organization itself. Pinsku values include, among others, solidarity, freedom, humanity, peace, child-centeredness, equality, activity, openness, honesty, community spirit, respect for work, and friendship.
