Työväen Academy is a folk high school in Kauniainen, founded in 1924, offering general education and basic university education. The teaching is based on scientific knowledge and is religiously and politically uncommitted. Throughout its history, Työväen Academy has strived to improve its students’ chances of entering higher education. The aim of the studies is to clarify study and career choices. During the academic year, the student can complete the first year of university studies in several different fields and prepare for university entrance exams or proceed to university studies through an open university path.
We also offer integration training for adult immigrants with a secondary degree or university degree. The aim of the training is to strengthen the social inclusion of immigrants and to help educated immigrants to find employment in expert positions and/or to receive additional training at Finnish universities.
